What is the Philo T. Farnsworth Society

The generous individuals of the Society provide a tremendous support to KBYU and BYU Television with charitable gifts of $1000 or more annually. Their participation, that helps to ensure that television will be used as a force for good, is vital to the future of BYU Broadcasting.

Purpose

The Society has two main purposes. The first is to recognize valued members who have both the vision and the means to support the efforts of KBYU and BYU Television in a substantial way. We make every effort to give personal attention to each of our Society members to ensure their satisfaction with Broadcast Services and their Society membership.

Secondly, the Society creates a way to provide a significant source of annual funding that will help ensure continued excellence in programming and service to our audience. With your help, BYU Broadcasting will be able to bring enriching, educational, inspiring media to homes worldwide. In the past year alone, Society gifts represented more than 12% of the Individual dollars received by BYU Broadcasting. Your support does make a difference! If you choose, your gift towards Society membership may also go towards the $10 million BYU Television Endowment Fund. Through this endowment, BYU Television will be able to be self-sufficient and produce more programs.
