One of the most fun aspects of genealogy is finding genealogical "playmates" - folks who are just as interested in your family as you are, most likely because they are kin of some sort. In addition to speeding up the research process, finding distant cousins may lead to the discovery of previously unknown photos, documents, or family heirlooms, not to mention entertaining tales that didn't trickle down your branch of the family tree!
Fortunately, the Internet provides a variety of means to track down these long lost relatives. There are far too many to list here, but any of these resources will lead you to a wide selection of people-finding sites. Happy hunting!
