Instructional Designer << Behind the Scenes

Jim Tyrrell Jim Tyrrell- is the author of the Ancestors research guidebook, "Ancestors - A Guide To Discovery." He also serves as a content consultant for Ancestors, including on-location content evaluation for the Ancestors television series.

As both an instructional designer and accomplished family historian, Jim's expertise in tying family history information to a reliable, proven research process is at the core of the Ancestors project. His vision for the world-wide application of family history principles and processes has been a guiding force in the preparation of some of the Ancestors products for translation into other languages.

Jim has developed courses, organized seminars and conferences, designed a variety of instructional materials and taught thousands of trainers in the principles and processes of helping others with their family history research.
